A Texas Christmas

Hi everyone! This is Maria from Stamp, Cut, Create!  Today I have a Texas Christmas card to share with you. I found the stamp, by Texana Designs, and thought it would be perfect for cards I send to friends and family out of state.
I started with a red 5.5" by 4.25" piece of red card stock which was matted with a 5.25" by 4" piece of print paper from October Afternoon. The Texas image is from the 50 States cartridge and cut at about 3". It's embossed using a folder from The Paper Studio. I rubbed the embossed image with Versamark to give the stars a little more depth.

The wreath was made by first creating and cutting a doughnut shape in  dark green.
You can use any circle for this, the one I used is from Lacy Labels. Then I used the Martha Stewart Pine Branch punch and punched about 30 branches out of a lighter green and glued them around the wreath base.

The wreath was then placed over the Texas image and the entire thing was then glued to the card base. To finish, I added some Christmas Red stickles (which I didn't let dry long enough before I picked the card up :/ ) and a tiny red bow to the wreath.
To create the label, I first stamped the sentiment on a piece of white card stock. It was then cut out with a Nestibilities label 18. After I cut it, I left the paper in the die, then used it as a template for adding the faux stitching with a red Copic Spica Glitter Marker.
The tag was adhered to the card with foam tape. The card was completed by adding some red, flat back adhesive pearls by Queen and Co.
Thanks so much for taking time to stop by today, I know how busy this time of year can be! I hope you are all enjoying this wonderful holiday season. Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year!
Maria
