This was a lot of fun to make. I followed the YouTube videos of mikeyssmail. There is a bit of a learning curve to the heel where you really need to go watch his new set of videos here. And they can be a bit confusing but if you just keep watching them all the way through, they will come out making sense in the end. (There's no video #7.)
I even made a mini version of this because I ran out of white at one point and was too involved to tie on new strings. :) It's short and stout, that's all. It would make a great gift holder instead of a hanging stocking from the mantle.
This project took me about three hours in total. I do really like loom knitting.
